CHRISTMAS AND SALVATION FOR MANKIND

CHRISTMAS AND SALVATION FOR MANKIND
John 1: 10- 11
10- “He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. 11- He came unto his own, and his own received him not. 12- But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:”
There are sad events and sad verses in the Bible but one of the saddest verses or Words in the Bible is in John 1: 10- 11. A good illustration for this to picture out what the verses is talking about is like: You will build a house for your family and love ones. You buy everything that’s needed in the house. You invited them inn, and then one day you came home from work and you see them all standing by the door and tell you… “We don’t need you here!!!” and slam the door in your face.
It’s sad and tragic; but that’s what we did to God and that’s what the world is doing. God made the world and created men in His own image, He provided everything that we needed in this world before we were born… and one day; when God started speaking and knocking in our hearts… we rejected Him and slammed the door of our hearts to Jesus and the working of the Holy Spirit. (Rev. 3: 20) “Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
Jesus came down from heaven to die for our sins. (Matthew 1: 21) “And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. Remember that His (Christ) Birthday (Christmas) is empty, without Calvary (His death on the Cross). This Christmas please do the ABC. A- Accept Him (The Lord Jesus Christ) as your Lord and Savior. (John 1: 12) “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:”
B- Believe in Him (The Lord Jesus Christ) that He alone can save you. (Romans 10: 10) “For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”
C- Confess Him (The Lord Jesus Christ) and ask Him to forgive you of your sins. “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” And then you will have the true meaning of Christmas.

Bright Light in This dark world

"Ye are the light of the world, a city that is set on a hill cannot be hid."
........Matthew 5: 14
*^*^*^*^^*^^*^*^*^*^*^

Jesus is our Lighthouse and the source of all light.  We are all called to be bright lights
in a dark world.   When a city is set on a hill, it  shines brightly for miles and all can
see the light.  We are to let our light shine that others may see Jesus and He
will be glorified.  Light is symbolic of truth and life and without Jesus in our life,
we would have no light. He lights up our life with his love and we are called to share
his love with others.

We give thanks unto God for sending his Light unto this world.  Because of the darkness
of sin, Jesus came  to bring love, light, and hope that we might have eternal life.
Our earthly vessels are likened unto a ship sailing on the seas of time.  Just as a ship
must have the guidance of light to navigate it's course, we must also have the light of
our Lord to guide us as we walk through this world.  There is no way we could stay
on the right path towards eternal life and home without the guidance of the Lord.

There are many today who walk in the darkness of sin.  Many have not
received this marvelous light and have no hope for the future.  We have light
within and when all glory is given to the Lord, God's light will draw
others to Jesus.  There is help for the vilest sinner and hope for the hopeless with
the One who can still calm the raging sea and speak "peace be still".

May we always seek to be 'light bearers' and realize we can do nothing without
this light of the Lord.  His light illuminates as it warms hearts with truth, love and life.
God is light, life, love and all we could ever need.  With Him, we can do all things by faith
as He strengthens us daily.  May we be  'beacons of truth' as we seek to let our lights shine daily.
