Luke 15: 10
******************
There is great joy in heaven when one sinner comes to the Lord and accepts the free gift of salvation.
Our Lord gives us many gifts, but the greatest of all is the gift of salvation. Jesus is this gift and when
we receive him into our life, we receive his love, joy, peace, forgiveness of sins, and the promise
of eternal life. We can never fully imagine the excitement in heaven over just one sinner who accepts
the Lord on this earth, but know the rejoicing of angels around the throne of God must be a beautiful
sight and sound. When a new name is written down in glory, all heaven rejoices with praise unto the King.
Each day there are souls dying and entering eternity lost, without hope for their soul.
Many put off 'so great a salvation' until it is too late. Tomorrow is called "the fools day,"
as it may never come. We are to see today as "the day of salvation." We also should
have a zeal for lost souls and to fulfill the great commission of the Lord which gives him glory.
We rejoice because our names have been written down in the Lamb's Book of Life and desire
to see others accept the marvelous free gift of salvation. May we rejoice with the angels when souls accept
the Lord. We can be a part of sharing the good news of life and hope in Jesus as we seek to be a
faithful and fruitful witness for the Lord. He will bless us abundantly as we labor in His vineyard.
John 15: 16 tells us, "Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and
bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain; that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name,
He may give it to you." Our life is as a praise unto the Lord when we fulfill our calling and reach out in love
to share the gospel with others. Not only does the Lord give us the free gift of salvation, but he gives
it that we might share it with others, as we commit our lives unto his service.
Faithful Christians are "fruitful Christians" as the Lord has ordained that his children bring forth
lasting fruit into the vineyard of the Lord. As we rejoice on earth when souls enter into the Lord's Kingdom,
we can be assured there is rejoicing in heaven and the highest praise given to our Lord and Savior.
Thanks unto our God that we are free to share in this rejoicing in the presence of our Lord.
May He be glorified and given all praise, now and forevermore!
