The Value of Obedience
Proverbs 2:1-6
Despite Peter's vast fishing experience, he returned from a night's work
with nothing to show for his efforts. It's quite possible that the Lord's
request
to let the nets down one more time struck him as unreasonable—after all,
Peter and his partners were the professionals. Nevertheless, the fisherman
complied,
and his obedience blessed many.
Scripture demonstrates that divine plans often defy human logic. For
instance, who would design a battle strategy that involved only marching
and shouting?
God told Joshua to conquer Jericho that way, and doing so proved successful
(Josh. 6:1-5).
Moses is another example. When he felt unsure about his leadership
potential, the Lord gave reassurance in an unusual way—by telling him to
throw down his
walking stick. When Moses obeyed, God powerfully confirmed His choice of
leader (Ex. 4:1-3).
Our Father may ask us to do something that seems illogical—perhaps to accept
more responsibility when we were hoping to reduce our workload, to leave a
position that He provided just recently, or to take on an assignment for
which we feel ill-equipped. His plan might feel unrealistic in view of our
age,
stage of life, or health concerns. We must press forward in obedience,
regardless of how impractical the request may appear.
To grasp the importance of obeying, think about children receiving
instructions from parents or teachers. Careful listening is needed for the
task to be
done safely and properly. Some steps may seem pointless, but the rationale
often becomes clear later. Always make obeying God your priority.
The world is the way it is today it's because The born again Christians are not obeying God's word. We are suppose to be the light in the world and Jesus wants us to follow His examples and not the world examples. The problem with many Christians today they want to be popular. and to be love by the world and love praises of men more then obeying God's word .
John 15:19
If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you. ( You see I have a problem with people who claim to be a born again christian filled with the holy spirit yet the whole world loved them . Jesus and His disciples were not loved by the world. Jesus came to do His Father's will . He came to seek and save those who are lost. Today there are millions if not billions of people who claimed to be Christians. If we are true followers of Jesus Christ why is the world the way it is today? Why is the born again Christians are not influencing the world instead the world is influencing them. I believe the reason is not everyone who called themselves Christians are really a christian. Many people seems to think sitting in a church building every Sunday makes them a Christian or they said I grew up in church ..Growing up in Church doesn't make you a christian either.I can stand inside a garage that doesn't make me a car. To be a born again Christian you have to give Jesus your heart and to repent of your sins.
Romans 10:9
9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. ( We cannot pick and choose which part of the bible to follow. There are 66 books in the bible. God wants us to obey His word no matter what it looks like in the natural. The just shall live by faith and not by sight. Stop focusing in what the government is doing instead pray for everyone who's in authority for God to lead them and guide them. The bible said life and death is in the power of the tongue. If Christians really believe that they would guard their mouth. They wouldn't speak negatives against anyone who's in authority instead they would pray for them . I think the reason the world doesn't have respect for God it's because the Christians look too much like them. When I read about Apostle Paul's life the people who were not believers they Reverence God because their saw the power of God in Paul's life. If the born again Christians wants God to change the world we need to repent and to show God's love towards others and stop condemning people that's God's job to judge the world . If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways.then I will hear from heaven will forgive their sins and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7;14
