PRICE OF TRADITIONS

The tradition that could cost you your salvation: The one that states that "for" (eis in Greek) in Acts 2:38 should have been translated, BECAUSE OF.

Let's compare "eis" found in Acts 2:38 and Matthew 26:28

King James Version: Acts 2:38, Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. ( Where is the because of ?)

God's Word Translation: Acts 2:38, Peter answered them,"all of you must turn to God and change the way you think and act, and each one you must be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ so that your sins will be forgiven. Then you will receive the Holy Spirit as a gift. (Where is the because of ?)

King James Version: Matthew 26:28, For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. ( Was the blood of Jesus shed because the people already had remission of sins?)

God's Word Translation: Matthew 26:28, This is my blood, the blood of the promise. It was poured out for many people so that sins are forgiven. ( Was the blood of Jesus shed because the people already had their sins forgiven?)

Traditions are accepted rather than God's Word. Why? PRIDE-IGNORANCE-DISHONESTY.

Faith, repentance, and immersion in water, are requirements in order to receive forgiveness from sins.

The shed blood of Jesus Christ is the reason we receive forgiveness from sins. We contact that blood after faith, repentance, and water baptism. Baptism being the final requirement. (Acts 2: 36-38)
