Are You Malnourished?

Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. - 2 Timothy 2:15.

We live in a land of plenty, although everything and everyone here doesn't reflect that. There is an abundance of food of every kind. We have plenty of fresh vegetables and fruits grown in our country.

Although we live in a land of plenty, there are many people who are malnourished. Some are unable to purchase the food they need because of lack of money. Others prefer to make other choices, and do without their needs.

Certainly, history bears it out there are many malnourished people in the food department, but there are also those that are very malnourished in their soul.  Being malnourished, going without food, harms the body. WE may become sickly, lose our strength, and our muscles become soft. We become tired and don't feel like doing much. But, when our soul becomes malnourished, we suffer in the spiritual department.

Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. - 1 John 4:4.

Each of us has a responsibility to study the Word, to get it down in our spirit.  We should never become malnourished in the Word. The Word will help us warrant off the devil, when he comes after us with all his tricks. We need to have the knowledge of the Word enough that we understand that "greater is He that is within me than he that is in the world."
