UN-SAVED BELIEVER

Is the term"un-saved believer", an oxymoron, or a statement of fact? A few examples are warranted to shed some light on the adjective in question.

UN-SAVED BELIEVER: John 12:42 Yet at the same time many among the leaders BELIEVED in him. But because of the Pharisees they would not confess their faith for fear they would be put out of the synagogue;

Can faith not confessed save anyone?

UN-SAVED BELIEVER: Luke 18:18-23 A certain ruler asked him, "Good teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?" ........"You still lack one thing. Sell everything you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come , and follow me.

The ruler wanted to omit the term of pardon he didn't like. (Can we who are living under the new covenant omit the terms of pardon we don't like and still be saved?)

UN-SAVED BELIEVERS: James 2:19 You Believe that there is one God. Good! Even demons BELIEVE that-and shudder.

Who would assert the demons are saved?

UN-SAVED BELIEVERS: Are believers who deny repentance, or immersion in water as being essential to the remission of sin, saved?

John 3:5 Jesus answered, "I tell you the truth, unless a man is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.

Is it acceptable to ignore the requirements of Jesus?

Mark 16:16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.

If we prefer a water-less salvation, will that save us?

(Acts 2:36-38) Makes it clear that to be saved requires faith, repentance, and baptism in order to be SAVED. If you elect to deny or omit baptism or repentance, are you not an UN-SAVED BELIEVER?
